Dr. Ben Huang, a former Georgia Tech aerospace engineering professor and consulting scientist in the design of the Saturn V rocket, experienced difficulties during his first exposure to the game of golf.
"My instructors told me I was gripping the club so tight I couldn't swing freely," Huang recalls. Painful blisters and pressure points on his hands confirmed the diagnosis. Observations of fellow students signaled he wasn't alone. Huang, who also pioneered the development of high-tech polymer grips for tennis, identified "one-type-fits-all" rubber golf grips as a key problem.
"The golf grip is the nerve center of the swing," he explains. "It provides critical feedback to the hands. It's common sense that golfers would benefit from a wider selection of high-performance grips created with the most advanced technology available."
Huang used his knowledge and resources to create a revolutionary polymer grip that delivers better feel, vibration absorption and slip resistance for golfers of all abilities.
